Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi, is doing a lot of work on its Redmi sub-brand. The Redmi Note 10 series is the company’s latest series but users are already waiting for the successor, Redmi Note 11 series. The first sales of the Redmi Note 10 series took place at the Chinese 618 sales. This smartphone series has a starting price of 999 yuan ($155) which is very competitive. Yesterday, Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group China and General Manager of Redmi Brand, published a post discussing the new products of the next-generation Note series. He asked netizens the surprises that they will like to see.

From the comment section, the most popular idea is to get an OLED screen. Redmi has used AMOLED screens on the Redmi 10X series before. In addition, the Redmi Note series global version also uses AMOLED screens. However, the Chinese version of the Redmi Note series has always used LCD screens that support a high refresh rate of 120Hz. Despite the extraordinary screen quality, the Redmi Note series fans in China want OLED. As we know, Lu Weibing usually responds to popular requests. Thus, the Redmi Note 11 series in China may be coming with an OLED display.
Presently, OLED displays are widely used in mid-range and flagship products. The Redmi K40 series use AMOLED screens and the Xiaomi Mi 11 series also use AMOLED screens. From a trend point of view, LCD’s share in the mid-to-high-end market will be further squeezed by OLED screens. Therefore, we can not rule out the possibility that the Redmi Note 11 may use AMOLED screens.
