The Dell Inspiron 13 5310: Specs, Info, And Prices

Dell dropped a huge bomb with the reveal of their new range of Inspiron laptops, which have been totally redesigned from the ground up to focus more on remote work, which is actually very smart. The pandemic showed us that working from home can be a viable option for many people and capitalizing on a niche can be pretty successful if done properly. The Dell Inspiron 13 5310 is the main device that Dell announced, as it comes in the very popular 13.3-inch form factor and today we will focus on it, telling you everything you need to know about it and if it can be your new device.

Design
According to Dell, the laptop is built with sustainability in mind, with the manufacturer focusing on recycled materials, especially carbon fiber. From this, we can assume that the main material that is used is plastic and carbon fiber, with a metal lid, which seems to be the most popular configuration for budget and mid-range devices. The design is very sleek and modern, with subtle Dell branding only being found on the center of the lid. The weight and height are also very manageable, sitting at 1.26 kg and 15.9 mm, respectively. Dell also uses a hinge that lifts up the base of the laptop, improving the cooling and the ergonomics of the laptop.

Display
The display of choice is a 13.3-inch Full HD+ IPS panel. It has a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is perfect for working, as it gives the user more room on the Y-axis, allowing for more apps to be fit on the screen, making multitasking a tad more easy and enjoyable. The bezels are also pretty thin, which is great to see. We think it’s safe to say that you will be satisfied with the qualities of the display.

Specifications
The laptop comes with Tiger Lake CPUs, with not only the low-TDP version but two full-fledged H-series chips. The base configuration has the Core i3-1125G4 and after that, you make a drastic jump to the Core i5-11300H and the Core i7-11375H. Performance won’t be a problem with such powerful hardware, with even the graphics power being on a good level, with the Iris Xe Graphics G4 and G7 taking center stage. If iGPUs are not enough for you, which they might be, as you would be surprised by the performance that they have, you have the choice of a discrete GPU, in the face of the MX450 from NVIDIA.

The device has adaptive thermals, which can adjust the cooling, and improve the power consumption. The optional fingerprint reader comes with Windows Hello support and the Dell ExpressCharge can recharge the battery from zero to 80% in 60 minutes.
