Compared with the Galaxy Tab S7 launched in 2020, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is of lower quality. Compared with its powerful flagship processor, its features as a weaker smartphone include mid-range processors. However, the battery capacity of the Galaxy S7 FE is higher. This will be described in detail later in this article.

Design and Display

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE design follows the same language as the regular Galaxy Tab S7. The differences here are the sizes of the individual chassis and their colour variants.

We have Mystic Black, Mystic Silver, Mystic Green, Mystic Pink as the color options on the Tab S7 FE, while, its sibling comes in Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, Mystic Silver.

The display here is a 12.4 inch TFT display with a density of approximately 243 PPI, as opposed to the 11.0-inch LTPS IPS LCD with a density approx 273 PPI on its regular sibling. However, both Android tablets bear a resolution of 1600 x 2560 Pixels on their display.

Moving on to the rear, we have yet another simple setup on a Samsung Galaxy Tab. What we have here is a camera module, a magnetic s-pen holder spot, and the Samsung logo indicating its OEM.

Cameras

The cameras on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE are less capable when compared to the regular Tab S7.

On the rear, we have a single 8MP camera, as opposed to the 13MP camera on its sibling. This rear camera is capable of recording videos up to 1080p@30fps.

While upfront, we have a single 5MP selfie camera as opposed to the 8MP selfie camera on its sibling. This camera is capable of recording videos up to 1080p @ 30fps.

Hardware and Software

On the performance side, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE employs the  Snapdragon 750 5G processor which falls in the mid-range category, as opposed to the high-end Snapdragon 865+ processor on the regular Tab S7.

The Storage and RAM variants available here include 64GB 4GB RAM, 128GB 6GB RAM, as opposed to 128GB 6GB RAM, 256GB 8GB RAM, 512GB 8GB RAM variants on its siblings.

However, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE shines with its battery capacity, as it holds a non-removable 10090 mAh battery as opposed to the non-removable 8000 mAh battery on its sibling. However, both devices retain a 45W fast charge system.

On the software side, we have the One UI 3.1 user interface running on the Android 11 operating system.

Connectivity

For connectivity, we have a USB Type-C port, low energy Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi / Hotspot on-board. Please note that there isn’t a 3.5mm headphone jack on this device and as such, you will be needing either a wireless headphone or a type-c headphone.

For internet connectivity, please note that Internet connectivity on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE is capped at 5G.
