HMD finally brought Android 11 to its Nokia 5.3 smartphone, nearly a year after the release of this phone, and only one month after the release of Android 12.
The first countries to receive the update are Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, and Vietnam. HMD will immediately release 30% updates for eligible markets, then 50% updates before August 5th, and the full list before August 6th. More regions will be added in the coming weeks.
This update weighs 1.67 GB and includes the June security patch. You can get standard Android 11 benefits, including chat tooltips, unique permissions, notification shadow media controls, and updated privacy changes.
