The Xiaomi 12 5G smartphone has recently been the topic of rumors. Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station shared renders of the next Xiaomi flagship’s rear panel a few days ago, hinting that the handset will sport a three-camera system on the back. A 50MP camera will be used as the primary camera.

According to the source, Xiaomi will use anti-glare (AG) glass coating on the rear camera patch to match the smartphone’s back cover. This means that the camera bump will blend in with the device’s rear, making it unnoticeable.

The Xiaomi 12 5G is expected to be introduced on December 28 (unconfirmed), with the Xiaomi 12 Ultra and additional versions in the range following in January 2022. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra could be equipped with a 200MP primary camera. Xiaomi is still anticipated to reveal global availability and pricing information, as well as a launch date.
