There’s always room for another low-cost smartphone, or so Tecno thought. In Mexico, Transsion introduced the Pop 5X smartphone, which features a quad-core processor, Android 10 Go, and a 4,000mAh battery.

A 6.5″ HD screen with a 5MP selfie camera placed atop a waterdrop notch can be found on the front. Tecno does not specify the chipset, however the phone is most likely a rebranded iTel Vision 1Pro (another Transsion product), which is powered by a Unisoc SC9832E, according to its specifications page. The RAM is 2GB and storage is 32GB, although you may extend the latter with microSD cards.
The Pop 5X includes an 8MP main camera and two QVGA shooters on the back, which we presume will be of limited use. Next to the camera island is an actual fingerprint scanner.
The phone costs MXN2,000 (about $115). It’s already available in a few physical stores across the Latin American nation.
