While the struggle in Ukraine continues in the face of Russia’s inevitable invasion, sanctions against Putin’s government persist as well. The United States and the European Union imposed a slew of economic penalties. Furthermore, several technological businesses have complied with the fines. Apple, for instance, has stopped selling phones in the country. Another smartphone behemoth has announced that it will cease operations in Russia. Samsung has informed the country that it will no longer be shipping smartphones or chipsets.

The South Korean company is likewise ceasing operations in the country. According to Bloomberg, the corporation is keeping a close eye on the complicated situation. Exports to Russi are no longer being made by the company. All Samsung products, from processors to cellphones and consumer electronics, are covered by the “ban.” That means that, in the not-too-distant future, Russian customers will be unable to purchase any Samsung device, including smartphones, PCs, smart TVs, and other electronics.

The company is donating $6 million, including $1 million in consumer electronics products, to humanitarian efforts in the region.

Both firms have lent their support to Ukraine, with the latter donating part of its satellites to keep the internet running in the country. Returning to the point, the vice prime minister requested Samsung to halt the provision of services and products to Russia for the time being.
