The sub-accounts, on the other hand, will have their own Netflix login and password, which is a first in Netflix’s recent history.

In a few nations, the new option is being tested. It operates in Chile, Costa Rica, and Peru at the moment. Netflix will, however, make this option available to the rest of the world in the coming weeks. The company did not say when or whether the feature would be offered to all subscribers worldwide. Netflix subscribers will be able to add two members to their accounts for a monthly subscription of CLP 2,380 in Chile, 2,99 USD in Costa Rica, and 8.9 PEN in Peru. In Costa Rica, the original Netflix package costs $8.99 to $15.99 per month. The cost may or may not be high, depending on the currency. However, it’s still a bit for items you didn’t have to pay for before.

If any of the additional members choose to start a new subscription, they can transfer their viewing stories, watch lists, and suggestions, according to the business. Data from devices logged into a Netflix account across the home will be used, including IP addresses, device IDs, and other information.

Netflix appears to be serious about expanding the amount of money it makes from its services. As a result, password sharing is no longer “forgiving.” In addition, the corporation is raising the prices of its plans in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
