Apple iPhone 14 May Feature Satellite Connectivity For Emergencies

A new rumor about the Apple iPhone 14 series has arisen. According to reports, the company’s latest smartphone generation, which will be released later this year, will include satellite connectivity choices for emergency situations.

We even reported recently that the Cupertino-based company was working on a satellite feature for its Apple Watch. This mechanism was included primarily to allow users to send messages or contact emergency services in the event of an actual emergency. According to reports, this system will have an “Emergency Message via Contacts” feature for delivering short messages in places where cellular signals are unavailable.

In other words, it indicates that the company is considering incorporating this feature into its other goods. Surprisingly, the iPhone 13 series was also speculated to include such technology, albeit it was omitted from the iPhone 2021. As a result, it’s completely feasible that this feature will not be included in the iPhone 14 series. The latest report by Mark Gurman, however, contradicts this.

Users will be able to send text messages or SOS answers via a satellite network to report incidents, similar to the one on the brand’s smartwatch, thanks to satellite connectivity. Overall, this will be extremely beneficial to Apple consumers who find themselves in certain worst-case scenarios, and may even save lives.
