MIUI 13 Launch Date Officially Confirmed

Until now, Xiaomi has only discussed the December 28 event through the lens of the Xiaomi 12 series announcement. Insiders confirmed that the launch of MIUI 13 will take place on the same day. And today, the company has finally confirmed that a new version of the proprietary user interface will be released soon.

The MIUI 13 presentation will take place on December 28. According to Vice President Chang Cheng, the new firmware will bring many changes. He did not elaborate on the types of innovations and changes that would occur. The speed of system applications was only promised to be increased by 20-26 percent when compared to MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition and other programs – by 15-52 percent.

Lei Jun, the company’s CEO, conducted a survey on his Weibo page, asking users to name the aspects of MIUI 13 that should be improved. It’s not surprising that many people favored “smoothness, no freezes.” For many, this indicator was more important than the speed with which bugs were fixed, the ease with which users interacted, the expansion of functionality, and the increased level of privacy and security.

According to previous rumors, MIUI 13 will include customizable notification management, virtual RAM expansion, a new widget system, updated system animations and themes, smart battery management, and improved privacy protection.

This year, Xiaomi has done something out of the ordinary. It re-released the most recent version of MIUI and postponed the release of MIUI 13 until a later date. This step was taken because the user interface was riddled with bugs and errors; the company decided not to take any chances and finalized the new version of the proprietary interface.

As a result, MIUI 13 will be unveiled on December 28. On this day, the company will undoubtedly release the Chinese version of the user interface. What about the international version? According to Xiaomiui, the global version will either debut alongside the Chinese version or a month later. The shell will be identical in both versions.

Furthermore, MIUI 13 is expected to be more stable and the company’s best performing operating system. Some sources even named the models who will be the first to reap the benefits of the new shell version:

Xiaomi Mi 11 / Mi 11 X / Mi 11X Pro / Mi 11i / Mi 11 Ultra / Mi 11 Lite 4G / Mi 11 Lite 5G;
Xiaomi 11T / 11T Pro;
Xiaomi-Mi 10 / Mi 10T / Mi 10T Pro;
POCO F3 / F3 GT;
Poco X3 Pro ;
Poco F2 Pro ;
Redmi Note 10 Pro / Note 10 4G.
