In late April, the well-known MIUI informant Kacper Skzipek announced that Xiaomi is currently expanding its RAM, officially called Memory Expansion. In the next few weeks, this feature will be available on various Mi, Redmi, and POCO brand smartphones. Let’s take a look at the list of devices that support the new MIUI memory expansion function.
Redmi K40 Pro
MIUI memory expansion function debuted on Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G and then appeared on various Xiaomi Group smartphones through the beta version and MIUI 12.5 version.
According to Katzper Skrzypek, the following smartphones of Xiaomi Group currently support MIUI memory expansion in the beta and stable versions.

More devices could get support for MIUI ‘Memory extension’ in the future. As per Kacper, devices with more than 128GB storage can extend RAM by 3GB. Whereas, the devices with 128GB and 64GB storage can extend RAM by 2GB and 1GB respectively.
